On the day
TIMES
Gates open at 4pm, and we will gather at 4:30pm for a short and sweet ceremony. Then photos, food, drinks, dancing, until the Barn closes at 11:30pm (the fun has to end some time!).
DRINKS
Beer and wine (including plenty of sparkling) will be available following the ceremony, and up until 11pm. If that’s not your style; tea, coffee, soft drink, water and juice will be available throughout the evening.
FOOD
If you build up an appetite during the ceremony, don’t panic - there will be a beautiful spread of platter food immediately after the ceremony. Freshly cooked pizzas will also be served throughout the night. Basically, there will be plenty of food available, but if you don’t think you’ll be able to make it through until fivesies, maybe don’t skip lunch.
PHOTOS
Couple, family and wedding party happy snaps will be taken immediately after the ceremony to make the most of *golden hour*. In the meantime, soak up the atmosphere and capture the day for us with your own phones and some digital cameras we'll leave lying around.
Dress code
As a guide, Darcie will be wearing the most expensive dress in her wardrobe.
But really, cocktail attire, or whatever you’re comfortable in. Ugg boots allowed past 9pm.
Please note
Barn 1890 is an indoor/outdoor venue so bring a jacket.
Bridesmaids will be in charcoal black. But you can wear black – join the bride tribe,
we’re non-exclusive.
Probably steer clear of stiletto heels due to the grass and uneven terrain
Gifts
We understand that many of our guests will be travelling to join us, and that is all we could ever ask for. However, if you would like to give us something extra, a little contribution to our honeymoon-cocktails fund would be greatly appreciated.
